Happy New Year!

Expect a new line of audio plugins this 2017 including new versions of my own classics. We're phasing-out the old, and rolling-in the new -- all powered by a new DSP engine that's powerful yet easy on the CPU. It's all VST 2.4/3 compatible, all 64-bit.

We said goodbye to 2016, and we want to say goodbye to a few good things as well. Goodbye, 32-bit Synthedit plugins. Goodbye, Luna. Goodbye, Princess Leia.

It's 5AM here in Singapore and the sun will rise in a few moments. Wherever you are in the world, I wish you peace, love, and an awesome 2017!

SFZ Designer Updated to 0.3

SFZ Designer has been updated to 0.3 and is now available here. This update fixes long-existing bugs including: the <global> tag not being included in the exported file, and the sustain envelope defaulting to 0 -- both are now fixed. These bugs are related to the 'no sound' bug that some users have reported. Since the sustain previously defaulted to 0, no sound is played unless the value is overwritten. This updated should fix that problem.

Strummer 3 is back!

Strummer 3 is the 7th strumming plug-in I've released since 2008 in a list that includes Milk Guitar and Lemonstrum. It is the first to sport a native-code engine, which made chord detection a lot better. It became the basis for more advanced versions such as S6 and S7. Now it's back with a few tweaks and a reworked GUI. Also, now it's free.

Revisiting Old Plug-ins

I still use some of my early plug-ins from time to time, even if only to see how much has changed in my technique. I had taken these down some time ago because most of them have been replaced by new products, and the really old ones either look funny or work funny. But I've always wanted to bring some of them back because they represent an important time of learning for me.
